Profile

Shaofei Ren is an associate professor of naval architecture and ocean engineering at Harbin Engineering University. He is now the doctoral supervisor and master supervisor. He graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015 and worked as a postdoctor at the University of California, Berkeley in 2018. Ren's research focuses on structural dynamics, explosion and shock dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, damage assessment of ships, and machine learning. As the project leader, he undertakes more than 10 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
