Profile

Feng Guoqing, male, born in October 1976, PhD, professor and doctoral supervisor in College of Shipbuilding Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. Research areas include direct strength calculation method for ship and offshore structures, fatigue strength analysis, ultimate strength analysis, health monitoring of ship and offshore structures, structural reliability analysis, risk assessment and forecasting of environmental loads of ship and offshore structures etc.
As a member of International Ship Structures Congress (ISSC), he is also a senior member of The Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, and an editorial board member of the journals "China Offshore Platforms" and "Ship Engineering". He lectures in the undergraduate course "Structural Mechanics of Ships and Ocean Engineering" and the master course "Computational Structural Mechanics". As the project leader and main participant, he has completed the funded projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shipbuilding Industry Fund, Naval Pre-Research Fund, and High-tech Ship Scientific Research etc. He has published more than 60 articles, including more than 30 articles in SCI and EI. He was awarded one special prize of National Science and Technology Award, one second prize and two third prizes in the Hei Longjiang province.
